The East Keswick Climate Change Garden is a community green space that boosts biodiversity, creates wildlife habitats, and connects local nature corridors. It offers an outdoor learning space to explore sustainable practices while supporting the Village Hall’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. The garden invites all generations to enjoy healthy outdoor activities and help build a lasting environmental legacy.
The creation of the East Keswick Climate Change Garden was made possible thanks to over £105,000 raised through grants, community donations and fundraising events. This funding enabled the purchase of Illingworth Field, which is now becoming a shared green space for recreation, learning, and environmental projects.

"5 stars!!
East Keswick Village Hall was the perfect venue for our Daughters wedding. Her fiancé is a chef and wanted to do all the cooking with his team and so few places let you do that. Everything was beautifully clean and equipment and services in house and from outsourcing were brilliant.
We decorated the hall with lights and shiny bright bunting, the kitchen was pretty good and extra fridges were hired to house the prepped food etc.
The bar was also hired to make everything easier.
We had our ceremony outside which was fantastic as the view was stunning and we even had inquisitive calves in the field next to the venue to entertain the guests as well. Even if the weather had been bad there would have been enough room to have the ceremony inside, the hall was perfectly sized.
We would definitely recommend EKVillage hall for your event, well managed, plenty of information and lovely staff" (received by Facebook on 27th of May 2024)
